When plotting lines or bars you have noticed that sometimes labels appear horizontal and other times at an angle.
(LEFT GRAPH) The Arcadia UI does this because it auto-detects date/time dimensions, and auto scales the axis accordingly to make it continuous. This way it doesn’t have to label every single date and instead plots the labels horizontally. This allows for less crowded display.
(RIGHT GRAPH) While for categorical values like country it will keep them separate. And to allow for displaying as many categories as possible, it will place them at 45 degree angle.
You can force the time axis to not be continuous, and instead show ALL values through a setting as explained here:

Even when displaying continuous time axis, you can modify the format of the date/time by using the display format. Here we have modified the display format of the x-axis shelf to be of the formt “MMM YYYY”
