Preventing Arcengine hangs when disk space is low

From time to time its possible that disk space in your log directories may become full for various reasons. Configuring good alerting when possible can help get ahead of disk space issues, but to help ensure that the Arcadia Analytics Engine doesn’t go into an unresponsive state you can also try adding the stop_logging_if_full_disk start-up flag in the Arcadia Advanced Configuration Snippet (Safety Valve) for flagfile in Cloudera Manager, or the Optional Parameters for Arcadia Analytics Engine in Ambari:

55%20PM

--stop_logging_if_full_disk=true

By default this setting is set to false, but it will ensure the services stops attempting to log to disk if the disk is full.
