Can custom filter be used as a global filter for all data set without defining in filter shelf?

Hi,
We have one custom date filter e.g. startdate. This startdate exists in all datasets. We can apply custom filter to all dashboards and apps at dashboard level but can we use it without putting it in filter shelf (like dataset scope)

The idea is we want to filter all dashboards with the same date but our datasets coming from different tables.
What is the best way to filter all datasets in dashboard for this specific field.
Please advise.

@Stima_Livingpresent currently you have to have place the column in the filter shelf. There’s no way to force a filter from one dataset to be in the scope of another dataset.

In the future we might implement the feature but currently not possible.

Any update on this feature? I too have a similar situation
